Professor Elisha Sambo Banake, is a senior lecturer in the department of Crop Production in the Federal University Wukari, a seasoned academician and a research fellow with many local and international publications in the areas of conservation/ organic production systems; using organic crop sources to naturally conserve resources and improve the ability of tropical soils to sustain crop production. He also worked on the use of green clipped cowpea fodder (crop residues) and the inherent abilities of such leguminous plants to improve soil fertility (on-farm) through biological N-fixation, SOM addition, incomes growth of resource poor farmers and maintain crop productivity sustainably
